Nº000 was the beginning.
Before there was a numbered monthly edition, before I really knew what Ever + Hence was going to become, there was the Explorer Edition — a small experiment built around paper, correspondence, making things by hand and the idea that opening the mailbox could still be interesting.
For Nº000, I created one large original artwork on cotton paper and divided it into 72 individual 3″ × 3″ pieces.
I didn’t paint 72 separate paintings. I made one piece, worked across the whole surface, then cut it apart.
That means every Explorer Edition contains one genuinely original piece from that first artwork. No two are the same.
The number 72 was intentional. My Mom turned 72 in January before she died in April, and carrying that number into the first Ever + Hence project became a quiet way of including her in the beginning of it.
Around thirty Explorer Editions made their way out into the world during the original September mailing. The envelopes offered here are the remaining unsent editions from that same original run.
Nothing has been recreated or reproduced for the Archives.
Each Nº000 includes the original Explorer mailing as it was assembled in September 2026, including its paper pieces, correspondence and one of those original artworks.
Once the remaining Nº000 editions are gone, this edition is finished.
