Ever + Hence is a monthly analogue dispatch from Nova Scotia — something real arriving in your mailbox, created around paper, creativity, observation and the simple pleasure of getting interesting mail again.
October is Nº001.
This edition wanders through the part of autumn I actually like: cool mornings, changing leaves, old paper, walks that take longer because you keep stopping to look at things, and that brief stretch of the year when everything seems determined to become ochre.
Each mailed edition is assembled by hand and sent the old-fashioned way.

The complete physical Nº001 experience: the October letter, accompanied by a small selection of paper ephemera and other tactile extras created for the month. You’ll also receive complimentary access to the October Digital Companion. Postage within Canada is included.
United States — Correspondence Edition · $15 CAD
Created specifically as a lighter mailed edition for U.S. customers. You’ll receive the October Ever + Hence letter by post, along with complimentary access to the October Digital Companion.
The U.S. Correspondence Edition does not include the physical ephemera and paper contents found in the Canada and International envelopes.
U.S. postage is included.

The Digital Companion
Every mailed October edition includes the Ever + Hence Nº001 — October Digital Companion at no additional cost.
It’s a separate printable monthly magazine filled with seasonal paper projects, journalling material, ephemera and things to make, cut apart and use.
It complements the physical envelope rather than duplicating or revealing its contents, so the analogue experience still gets to keep its secrets.
The Digital Companion will also be available separately for $10 CAD for anyone who would rather skip the mailbox altogether and head straight for the paper.
What’s inside the envelope?
The exact contents remain partly a surprise.
Each full October envelope includes the monthly letter along with a small selection of paper ephemera and other tactile pieces created for the edition. Some are meant to be used, written on, cut up, kept, shared or tucked into a journal.
The photographs show the character of Nº001. They are not a complete inventory of everything you’ll receive.
October also has four different envelope designs. Your design will be selected from the Nº001 collection when your order is prepared.
You do not need to be an artist. You do not need a particular kind of journal. There is no correct way to use any of it.
Keep it. Cut it. Write on it. Glue it somewhere. Give part of it away. Forget about it in a drawer and rediscover it three years from now.
It’s paper. You’re allowed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I send an envelope as a gift?
Absolutely. Enter the recipient’s address as the shipping address at checkout. If you’re sending envelopes to more than one address, please place a separate order for each recipient.
Why is the U.S. edition different?
The U.S. Correspondence Edition includes the October letter by post plus complimentary access to the October Digital Companion. It does not include the physical ephemera found in the Canada and International envelopes. Cross-border postal and customs rules make sending the full paper-filled edition to the U.S. considerably more complicated and expensive, so this version keeps the mailed part simple while still giving you the creative portion digitally.

What is the Digital Companion?
It’s a separate printable monthly magazine filled with seasonal paper projects, journalling material, ephemera and things to make. It complements the physical envelope rather than reproducing or revealing its contents.
Do I get to choose my envelope design?
No. October has four envelope designs, and yours will be selected from the Nº001 collection when your order is prepared. A little mailbox roulette never hurt anybody.
Is postage included?
Yes. The price shown for your edition already includes postage to the corresponding region. There is no additional shipping charge at checkout.
When will October be mailed?
Orders remain open through September 30, or until available quantities are claimed. October envelopes will be prepared and mailed after the order window closes.
